Glen Park

Glen Park is a 43.7 megawatt run-of-the-river facility on the Black River near Watertown, New York. As project manager, I oversaw all design and construction of this hydro/dam. This facility has two 20 MW vertical Kaplan turbines with direct-coupled Siemens-Allis generators, and one 3.65 MW turbine for portaging for recreation. This facility produces an average generation of 151,000 megawatt-hours of clean electricity per year, enough to power 14,578 homes.
